The Role:

To be the environmental specialist for the company on the Major Projects. The role involves

supporting delivery teams in developing and implementing environmental mitigations

throughout the life cycle of the design and construction of projects together with liaison with

all internal and external stakeholders. The post-holder will act as the Company champion

and role model for all environmental issues within it, making sure that relevant

legislation is adhered to, in addition to assisting in planning, implementing, monitoring and

reviewing the HSE strategies of the company and its clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the environmental function for Major Projects

Be the key point of contact for environmental advice, utilising specialist consultants where

appropriate, to assist site management to comply with our environmental requirements and

share best practice

Set internal standards to continually raise performance and meet customer requirements

Assist wider HSEQ team on environmental matters

Maintain legal environmental register and confirm new legislation requirements and impacts

to the Head of HSEQ

Lead external audits for ISO14001, ISO50001 and CEMARS

Produce and report on environmental performance specific to each project to meet the

Clients requirements

Communication and meetings

Attend client meetings and support their environmental initiatives

Maintain external liaison and learning, and circulate

Develop and deliver environmental training courses

Reporting and analysis

Identify environmental good practice for inclusion in Company communications

Monitor and review environmental performance data to drive improvements

Undertake site inspections and audits to programme

Undertake incident investigation to learn lessons and implement improvements
