Initially you would be doing a couple of days at the head office which is Rubery (Birmingham) rest of the week at the chosen sites.
To manage the Procurement and Quantity Surveying departments to ensure business objectives are met whilst identifying and managing risk and creating a team that adds value within the construction process.
Allocating resource to meet project demands.
Identify development requirements.
Listen to problems and advise where necessary.
Develop processes and procedures to meet business objectives.
Develop and review performance measures.
Liaising with Internal and External Parties:
Develop Customer and Suppler relationships.
Negotiate accounts and terms and conditions.
Advise internal parties commercially and contractually.
Identify win:win situations and actions.
Commercial and Contractual Awareness:
Advise estimating re onerous terms and conditions.
Advise project and management teams.
Understand and utilise contract law and contracts.
Understanding of technical and measurement functions.
Advise project teams depending on scenario
Determine effect of specifics on business objectives.
Advise management team.
Analyse information and proffer solutions.
Cash and Old Debt Collection:
Manage inflow and outflow.
Deliver against approved budgets.
Target areas of improvement.
Management of contract accounts.
Preparation of budgets including overhead cost analysis at business level.
To comply with all Health and Safety responsibilities commensurate with the role, as outlined in the Health and Safety policy.
Any other duties commensurate with the position as may be assigned from time to time.
